A word from Past President Bernth:
Two months ago, Marla and I were President and First Lady of the 116th Annual NHA conference and now we are nobodies. That just shows how fast this hay industry moves. While we were somebodies, however we were privileged to host the convention in Bellevue, Washington. As those who attended can testify, Bellevue is not the least expensive place to hold a convention. However, we have had much positive feedback. about the experience and we think everyone had enough money left to get home. we think it was a great turnout and, for many of you, your first visit to the state of Washington. Holding conferences in different cities and states each year allows us to learn a little about each other's lifestyle and business/farming operations.
The purpose of every NHA conference is to have a good time, renew and make new acquaintances, and hopefully take home information and ideas that will improve your life and your bottom lines. Many thanks to all of you that helped make the week an enjoyable and worthwhile experience. We had on of the best conferences in terms of sponsorships and display booths. Their support is invaluable when it comes to holding and NHA convention.
And, of course a special thanks to all of you that had a special purpose during the convention. From the hay judging contest, the golf tournament, the hospitality room, the MM/C and a special thanks to the guy that pulls it all together, Don Kieffer.
